Stone Smoked Porter, Stone Brewing – Escondido, CA
5.9% ABV – Smoked Porter
Mysterious, smoky and edging on decadent with rich chocolate and coffee notes and hints of licorice and dark fruit. The “smoke” in this Porter manager only to be an element of the character rather than being THE character.
Old Guardian BELGO Barley Wine, Stone Brewing – Escondido, CA
12% ABV – Belgian Barley Wine
When Stone Brewing’s illustrious team spiked a few barrels of the Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine with their Belgian yeast strain last year, they absolutely loved it. So much, in fact, that they knew they needed an excuse to make more. So, they came up with Odd Beers for Odd Years, a program to release odd beers – e.g. Stone Old Guardian BELGO Barley Wine – in odd years (2011, 2013, 2015…). You’re welcome.
Arrogant Bastard, Stone Brewing - Escondido, CA
7.2 % ABV – American Strong Ale
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this gravity and depth.
Drayman’s Porter, Berkshire Brewing Company - S. Deerfield, MA
6.2% ABV – Porter
A satisfying full-bodied ale with notes of chocolate malt and coffee. All that a dark beer should be.
Brekle’s Brown, Anchor Brewing Company - San Francisco, CA
6% ABV – Brown Ale
This ale is a tribute to Gottlieb Brekle, a brewing pioneer who opened a San Francisco brewery in 1871 that would later become Anchor Brewing. A classic all-malts, single-hop brown ale.
Vermonster, Rock Art Brewery - Morrisville, VT
10% ABV – American Barleywine
Ridge Runner’s Big Brother. Watch out.
Pangea, Dogfish Head Brewery – Milton, DE

Otto, Victory Brewing Company – Downington, PA
8.1% ABV – Belgian Dubbel
Bill Covaleski and Ron Barchet, Victory co-founders, developed the recipe for the new smoked malt dubbel based on their experience with the style during a trip they took to Bamberg, Germany in 1987. In order to create a deliciously palatable smoked beer, Bill and Ron decided to combine the sometimes-overpowering qualities of the smoky rauch style with Belgian caramel malt, which yields a perfectly harmonized final flavor.
Hoppy Feet, Clown Shoes - Ipswich, MA
7% ABV – Black IPA
This is a great beer from Clown Shoes, a new brewery whose mission “is to produce beer without pretension while being free and a little crazy.” A black IPA brewed with Premium malt and Amarillo and Columbus hops.
Heady Topper, The Alchemist – Waterbury, VT
8% ABV – Double IPA
Heady Topper is not intended to be the biggest or most bitter. It is meant to give you wave after wave of hoppy goodness on your palate. Tremendous amounts of hops will creep up on you and leave you with a dense, hoppy finish in your mouth. So drinkable, it’s scary.
